In hypermarkets, liquor sections are usually located in remote corners without supervision. For safety and anti-theft reasons, high-priced physical products cannot be displayed on-site and are typically represented by their outer packaging. Customers take an empty box to the counter, where the barcode is scanned to retrieve the actual product. Since The SINGLETON DUFFTOWN is a limited edition product with a bare bottle design and no outer packaging, unlike boxed products, consumers can only take a checkout card with a product photo to the counter for payment, preventing them from experiencing the shape, curves, size, and color of the limited edition item.
Therefore, we designed a 3D model display stand using paper structure, scaled to the actual product size, to hold the checkout cards and allow consumers to better visualize the real product. Consumers take the checkout card from the 3D model display stand, present it to the cashier during checkout, and receive the physical product. The cashier then collects the returned checkout cards and places them back into the 3D model display stand for continuous reuse.
Based on the "Space Adventure" concept developed by Japan’s Dentsu as the main visual theme, the design extends into a "Space Base" roaming in outer space. Serving as the core structure of the display stand, the giant "Space Base" holds a large quantity of GATSBY wet tissues and features jet-powered ball cannons for defense at the base. The header card and the upper and lower display elements are designed as interchangeable parts, allowing for easy replacement to accommodate seasonal promotional campaigns during the themed period.
